Free accessibility tools

Two things every site subject to the European Accessibility Act needs: an honest picture of what is broken, and a published accessibility statement. Both of these are free, both run in your browser, and neither asks for your email.

Accessibility checker

Paste your page's HTML and get a real list of the code-level barriers on it — each one with the WCAG success criterion it fails and the concrete fix. Includes a manual checklist for the barriers no automated tool can find.

Accessibility Statement generator

The EAA expects you to publish a statement describing your site's accessibility, how it was assessed and what is still not fixed. This builds one you can paste straight into your site, with the wording adapted to your situation.

Why these are free

Because the honest version of accessibility work starts with knowing where you stand, and nobody should have to hand over an email address for that. These tools do a real job within real limits, and they say plainly what those limits are. If what you find is more than you want to handle yourself, that is when we are worth paying for — not before.
