Make your shop EAA compliant — without a €2,000 consultant.
Scan your site free and see what's wrong in seconds. Then, if you want it sorted, get a real WCAG 2.1 AA report for €69 or the fixes handed to your developer for €229. Run against your real code, not a fake "overlay" widget that gets you sued anyway.
Example of what we find:
Overlay widgets don't make you compliant
In 2025 the US regulator fined the biggest overlay company $1M for false claims — and 800+ businesses using overlays were sued anyway. A button can't fix your code. We do it properly.
The "magic" overlay
- ✕ Adds a widget that doesn't fix the real code
- ✕ Blind users say it breaks their screen reader
- ✕ No legal protection — lawsuits continue
- ✕ Monthly fee forever for a fake fix
EAA Comply
- ✓ A real scan of your code with axe-core (Deque's open-source engine) plus an automated keyboard walkthrough of your checkout, on video
- ✓ Clear report: every issue, the exact selector, and how to fix it
- ✓ Your official accessibility statement, written
- ✓ Re-check included once you apply the fixes
We don't patch your site with a script and call it done — we scan your actual HTML, CSS and JavaScript with axe-core, the same open-source engine built into browser DevTools, and hand your developer the exact rule and selector to fix. Nothing runs on your live visitors' browsers. That's also why roughly 4 in 10 businesses sued over web accessibility in 2025 already had an overlay widget installed when the claim was filed — the widget didn't stop the lawsuit, because the underlying markup never changed. Overlay widget, consultancy audit, or us
There are three ways to deal with the EAA. Only two of them work — and one of those two is not always us. This is the comparison we would want if we were the ones buying.
| Comparison criterion | Overlay widget | Consultancy audit | EAA ComplyUS |
|---|---|---|---|
| What it actually is | A JavaScript toolbar layered on top of your existing code at page load. | A specialist team reviews your site by hand and delivers a written audit. | An axe-core scan of your real markup plus an automated keyboard walkthrough of your checkout, delivered as a fix list with exact selectors and the recording. |
| Typical cost | Roughly €40–€150 per month, indefinitely. | Commonly €2,000–€8,000 for a one-off audit. | €69 report · €229 with guided fixes. One payment, no subscription. |
| Does the underlying code get fixed? | No. Your HTML is unchanged; the widget patches appearance at runtime. | No — they identify the barriers, your developers implement the fixes. | No — same as a consultancy. We identify with the exact selector and rule; your developer implements. On the €229 plan we walk them through it. |
| More than a page scanner | None. | Yes, extensive — often including testing with disabled users. | Yes — the scan plus a real keyboard walkthrough of your checkout, on video. No sessions with users: what we cannot automate, we say so. |
| Time to a result | Minutes. The barriers are still there afterwards. | Typically 3–6 weeks. | Free teaser scan in minutes; full report in 5–7 days. |
| What you can hand a regulator or a B2B buyer | A vendor claim. In 2025 the US FTC required the largest overlay vendor to pay $1,000,000 over claims that its widget made sites compliant. | A full report and statement — the strongest evidence available. | A WCAG 2.1 AA report against EN 301 549, a remediation record, and a drafted accessibility statement. |
| Honestly, best for | Nobody. We have not found a case where it is the right purchase. | Complex web apps, bespoke component libraries, regulated sectors, or when you need testing with real disabled users. | Shops and SMEs that need a defensible, code-level record without a consultancy budget. |
Where we are not the right answer. We do not run in-person usability sessions with disabled users, and we do not audit native mobile apps or large single-page applications built on custom component libraries. If that is what your situation needs, a specialist consultancy is worth the money and we will tell you so when you ask. What we do is the other case: an honest, code-level WCAG 2.1 AA audit of a website, quickly, at a price a small shop can actually pay.
This isn't a hypothetical fine. It's already happening.
The European Accessibility Act has applied since 28 June 2025. National authorities are moving from warnings to real enforcement, and courts are starting to rule.
6 months
France: Carrefour, June 2026
The Caen court ordered Carrefour to make its website and app accessible within six months, under daily penalties. Worth telling in full: this is an interim ruling, provisional and open to appeal, and one month earlier the Lille court dismissed an equivalent claim against Auchan. French case law is split, and the question is pending on appeal.
Source: statements by the claimant associations; the text of neither ruling has been published.Up to €1,000,000
Spain: a statutory ceiling, not a fine issued
Law 11/2023 sets no amounts of its own: article 30 defers to sector legislation and, failing that, to Spain's consolidated disability rights act, which grades penalties from €301 to €1,000,000 by severity. That is what the law permits. We are not aware of a single penalty imposed on an online shop for web accessibility.

Netherlands: the ceiling is 1% of turnover, not 10%
Dutch law sets a maximum of €900,000 or 1% of turnover for this case. The «10%» repeated across most of our industry is real, but it sits in a different paragraph of that same act and is reserved for unfair commercial practices — it does not apply to accessibility. Consumers can also bring civil claims on top.
Source: Wet handhaving consumentenbescherming, art. 2.15 (official text)And an overlay you may already have installed doesn't remove that exposure: the US Federal Trade Commission fined the largest overlay vendor $1,000,000 in 2025 for falsely claiming its widget made sites compliant, and roughly 4 in 10 businesses sued over web accessibility still had one running.
See what your code actually needsWhat "doing nothing" actually costs, versus fixing it now
These are the penalty ceilings written into European law, plus one court order that has already been issued — not US lawsuit statistics, and not amounts anyone has actually been charged.
What the law allows if you're found non-compliant
These are the maximum penalties the law permits, not amounts that have been imposed: to date, no fine against a named company for web accessibility under the EAA is publicly documented in the EU. Cost of proactive compliance
Independent benchmark source (US pricing data): Accessible.org, ADA lawsuit settlement & proactive-compliance cost data
The full audit with guided fixes costs €229, a single payment. And the realistic downside isn’t a headline fine — it’s a regulator or a court handing you a deadline, the way Carrefour got one, and paying for an emergency rebuild instead of a planned one.

Everything you need to comply
Real audit
axe-core scan of your actual source code, plus an automated keyboard walkthrough of your key pages and checkout, recorded on video.
Clear fix plan
Every issue ranked by severity, with a screenshot and exactly how to fix it. Your dev just follows it.
Accessibility statement
The legally required statement, properly written and ready to publish on your site.
Re-check included
Once you apply the fixes we check them again and confirm in writing that they are resolved.
Fast turnaround
Your report in 5–7 days. Built and templated for online shops, so it's quick and affordable.
Our guarantee
If our review does not confirm Level AA on the points we audited, we keep working at no extra cost until it does. It is a guarantee of work: nobody can guarantee you a legal outcome, and anyone who does is lying to you.
A technical conformance certificate at the end
When your paid audit is complete and the fixes are in, we issue a signed technical certificate stating that your site meets Level AA on the audit date — the document you show partners, marketplaces and, if needed, a regulator.
- ✓ Site audited, scope (pages/templates) and audit date
- ✓ Standards assessed: WCAG 2.1 & 2.2 AA and EN 301 549 — the reference technical standard, not yet cited in the EU Official Journal under the EAA
- ✓ Result summary, list of success criteria checked and corrections applied
- ✓ Audit date, brand signature and a verification code / QR — a private technical attestation, not a document from an accredited body
Audited in Europe, under European law
The European Accessibility Act is European law. The audit that proves you meet it is carried out here: by an auditor established in the EU, on European infrastructure, and your files never leave the EEA.
A European auditor
EAA Comply is Potencia Digital, a sole trader registered in Cartagena (Spain). Your invoice and your contract are Spanish, and any dispute is settled before the Spanish courts — not under a US terms-of-service page.
Legal notice →European standards, not American ones
We test against EN 301 549 and WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 AA — the standards the EAA and its national transpositions actually point to. US ADA litigation belongs to a different legal system, and it is not what a European authority will ask you about.
Your data stays in the EU/EEA
The site runs on Raiola Networks (Spain) and the scan form on a VPS in an EU data centre, each under a GDPR data-processing agreement. No transfers outside the EU/EEA.
Privacy policy →Being audited in Europe does not make you compliant on its own — the corrections do. Our certificate is a private technical accreditation, not a document issued by a supervisory authority.
What shops say after doing it
Real feedback from clients, published only with their permission. Nothing here is written by us.

What the €69 report actually buys — and what it does not
One payment per website, no subscription attached. VAT added where applicable. We would rather you knew the boundaries before you pay than after.
Included
- A 15-page audit of your real pages, tested on desktop and mobile — not only your homepage.
- Automated testing with axe-core plus an automated keyboard walkthrough of your checkout, recorded on video, because page scanners only cover 16 of the 50 WCAG 2.1 AA success criteria — the figure published by Deque, who make axe-core.
- Every finding with the exact element and selector, so your developer does not have to hunt for it.
- A plain-language summary of what is actually blocking a sale, and why.
- A prioritised fix plan, ordered by impact and effort.
- Your accessibility statement, written against WCAG 2.1 AA and ready to publish.
Not included at this price
- We do not write or deploy the fixes for you. That is the €229 tier.
- No in-person usability sessions with disabled users. That is specialist consultancy work and it is priced accordingly.
- No native iOS or Android app audit.
- No audit of large single-page applications built on custom component libraries.
- No legal representation, and no guarantee that nobody will ever bring a claim. Nobody can honestly sell you that.
Why €69 and not €2,000
A consultancy audit for a shop this size is typically €2,000–€8,000. Much of that is not testing. It is scoping calls, account management, a bespoke report template and a presentation deck.
We removed those. The scan, the evidence collection and the report assembly are automated. The keyboard walkthrough of your checkout is automated too, and it is recorded so you can watch it yourself. That is why the price is what it is. What a machine cannot judge — whether an alt text describes the image well, whether an error message makes sense — we do not sell as done.
That is the whole trick, and it has limits. A full consultancy audit with real user testing is still stronger evidence, and if that is what your situation needs, we will tell you so rather than take the €69.
Coming soon
Ongoing monitoring, once a month
One-off audits go stale: a new theme, a new app, and something that was fixed breaks again. We are considering a monthly re-scan of your key templates with a plain report of what changed — around €19–29 a month.
It does not exist yet, and it will only exist if enough people want it. Leave your email and we will tell you when it is ready, with no obligation. No charge, and no other emails because of this.
Offer accessibility under your own brand
Your clients are asking about the European Accessibility Act. We do the audits, reports and statements — fully white-label, with your logo and colours. You keep the client relationship (and the margin).
- ✓ White-label PDF reports with your branding
- ✓ Wholesale pricing — resell at your own rate
- ✓ We stay invisible: your client never sees us
Volume discounts from 3 audits/month.
A digital agency for search & compliance
EAA Comply is a specialist web accessibility service. We work in accessibility, web performance and regulatory compliance (WCAG 2.1/2.2, EN 301 549, GDPR and cookie law). We build and audit real websites, so we know what a fix actually takes.
We don't sell a widget and disappear. Our team audits your real HTML, CSS and JavaScript the way a browser and a screen reader see it, writes a fix plan your developer can follow, and stands behind the result. The same technical rigour we use to rank sites in Google is what we apply to make them usable for everyone — and defensible under the European Accessibility Act.
You work with one accountable partner across the whole job: audit, fixes guidance, accessibility statement, certificate and the final re-check. No hand-offs, no black boxes.
Why teams trust us
- ✓ Real code audits, not overlays. We test with axe-core and walk your checkout with the keyboard, and we hand you the recording.
- ✓ Technical + legal fluency. Accessibility, GDPR and cookie rules handled together, with sources.
- ✓ Deliverables you can act on. Fix plan, accessibility statement and a conformance certificate.
- ✓ Fixed prices and a guarantee of work. If the review does not confirm Level AA on what we audited, we carry on at no extra cost.
- ✓ White-label for agencies. We stay invisible behind your brand when you need us to.

Our audit verifies that your website meets the technical standards required by the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882), the EN 301 549 standard and WCAG 2.1/2.2 level AA. The certificate we issue confirms that your site has been audited and meets those standards as at the audit date, and is a valid record of your due diligence towards customers and authorities. We are not a public supervisory body or a regulatory authority: our certificate is a private-brand technical accreditation. We are not liable for misuse of the platform, for a customer's failure to implement recommended fixes, or for infringements caused by third parties. For complex legal cases, consult a qualified lawyer in your jurisdiction.
Frequently asked
If you sell to consumers in the EU through e-commerce, the European Accessibility Act applies since 28 June 2025. Micro-enterprises (fewer than 10 staff and under €2M turnover) offering services are exempt, but their customers and marketplaces increasingly demand accessibility anyway.
Enforcement is handled by national market-surveillance authorities. Regulators have begun with warnings and compliance requests rather than immediate fines — but complaints from consumers and competitors can trigger inspections, and non-compliant sites can be ordered to fix issues or face penalties under national law.
Overlays don't fix your underlying code, screen-reader users report they often make things worse, and businesses using them have still been sued. The largest overlay vendor was fined $1M by the US FTC in January 2025 for misleading claims. Real compliance requires fixing the actual issues, which is why we scan your real HTML, CSS and JavaScript with axe-core (Deque's open-source engine) instead of injecting a widget — that's what our report gives your developer.
The free scan is instant. A full online-shop audit (automated + an automated keyboard walkthrough of your purchase journey, recorded on video) is delivered in 5–7 working days, including your accessibility statement and prioritised fix plan.
Yes. The €69 report already includes a fix plan any developer can follow. With Guided fixes (€229) we go further and hand you the actual code changes for your platform (WooCommerce, Shopify, WordPress), then re-check the site and issue your certificate once they're applied.
